PUSHA T'S DISS TRACK TO DRAKE

On Tuesday, Vulture published a new interview with Pusha-T, and the rapper said he's more than happy to continue his beef with Drake. The conflict was reignited by Pusha's DAYTONA track "Infrared"with lyrics referencing Quentin Miller, the rapper at the center of Drake's 2015 ghostwriting controversy.

Pusha told the publication his song was a response to Drake "questioning my authenticity" on the More Life song "Two Birds One Stone." Asked if he's "ready for all that warfare" with Drake's camp after bringing the ghostwriting back into focus, Pusha was emphatic:

I’m ready for everything that comes with it. Everything. And we gonna deal in truths. If that’s what we gonna do, and that’s what we really, really, wanna deal in, let’s deal in real truths. Because, I feel like I was questioned. My truth was questioned, and I’m gonna deal in truths all summer long. If everybody wanna deal in that, then I have no problem with that, I think it’s great. Think the world needs truth, he explained.

Drake responded to the "Infrared" lyrics the same day as DAYTONA's release with the track "Duppy Freestyle." He continued to question the drug dealer credentials that define much of Pusha-T's lyrical content:

Your brother said, it was your cousin then him, then you 
So, you don't rap what you did, you just rap what you knew 
Don't be ashamed, it's plenty niggas that do what you do 
There's No Malice in your heart, you’re an approachable dude.

So far, Pusha-T has not responded to "Duppy," other than goading Drake to "send the invoice to the extra 20" after Drake bragged that his song would boost DAYTONA's album sales by 20,000. And yes, Drake obliged.

No Malice, Pusha-T's brother, lauded the beef as "an exciting moment for hip-hop." On Monday, Quentin Miller said he'll speak his piece sometime soon.

This is going to be yet another rap feud fueled with disses, left right and center. Drake has not been a stranger to the beef, Meek Mill has also been less than chuffed with drake in the past.

NICKI DEFENDS DRAKE AMID DISS TRACK.

Nicki Minaj has voiced her support for Dreeezy Drake amid Pusha-T and Kanye West accused him of using ghostwriters(again).

The 'Gods plan' hitmaker has become embroiled in a bitter battle of words with the two rappers, who addressed the claims in their new track 'Infrared'. Drake fired back with his own diss track 'Duppy Freestyle'.

Now, Nicki has tweeted: "N****z gon run that Quentin shit in the fkn ground like Drake don't write 4 himself & OTHERS!

"Ya enemies will remix, reinvent & TRY 2make u RELIVE some old shit for YEARS 2 come when they have NOTHING ON U! 

"Knock it off. Challenging the chosen ones only awakens the sleeping giant (sic)" she tweeted.

The song - taken from Pusha-T's new 'DAYTONA' album - references Drake's work with Quentin Miller on his 2015 mixtape 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late'.

Drake fired back on his own track, rapping: "If you rebuke me for working with someone else on a couple of V's, what do you really think of the n***a that's making your beats?

"I've done things for him, I thought that he never would need. Father had to stretch his hands out and get it for me."

Nicki's comments come after Eminem continued to tease fans following her Instagram joke that they are dating.

After a relationship was referenced in her song 'Big Bank', Slim Shady couldn't help but address the rumours at Boston Calling on Sunday (27.05.18).

Giving a shout-out to Nicki, he said: "Baby I'll be home tonight. Boston, how many of you want me to date Nicki Minaj? Well, god dammit, me too. Nicki, if you get this message, just text me later, we'll talk.

YE DONE DID IT AGAIN, ARTIST OR MAD MAN?

I could kinda predict, Pusha-T's cover art for his new album, Daytona, which features a photo published in 2006 of Whitney Houston's drug-filled bathroom, hit a sore spot (obviously) with the late singer's family.

Kanye allegedly paid $85,000 for the rights to license the controversial photo. Pusha asserted that it was 'Ye's idea to push for the photo to be used. "I’m not really too, too, too entrenched in the art world like that. I’m just going to let him do that thing. And he’s paying for it," the Clipse rapper said during a recent interview with Angie Martinez.

Damon Elliott, Houston's cousin, spoke with People about the cover, in a story published on Sunday (May 26). Needless to say, he wasn't too happy about the sad memories the photo dug up. Elliott said he first learned of the photo via his daughter. “[She was] frantic," said Elliott. "She sent me this picture from the album cover and I immediately got sick to my stomach because it took me right back to six years ago.”

The cousin seems to put the blame on Kanye. “I’ve watched the train wreck happening, but I didn’t think he’d go this far in invading someone’s family privacy," he added. “To do something for a publicity stunt to sell records, it’s absolutely disgusting. It hurt my family and my daughter. It’s petty. It’s tacky.”

Houston died in a bathtub at The Beverly Hilton hotel in 2012. The death was ruled an accidental drowning, but multiple drugs were found in her system. Elliott wants an apology from West and a vow to switch out the album art.
